libitext-java-gcj software package provides Java Library to create and manipulate PDF on the fly, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libitext-java-gcj
libitext-java-gcj is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libitext-java-gcj package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libitext-java-gcj *
You will get with libitext-java-gcj package name, version, architecture and description in a table
